Kayla McKeown is a New York City–based fashion designer. Originally from Belmar, New Jersey, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Thomas Jefferson University in 2019.

During her junior year, Kayla began interning with Rare Editions on the Girls Dress design team, which sparked her interest in children’s fashion. After graduation, she joined Rare Editions as a design assistant. In 2021, she transitioned to the Childrenswear team at IHL Group, further honing her expertise in the field.

In the fall of 2022, Kayla joined Andy & Evan as a design assistant and was later promoted to associate designer. In her career she has contributed to a wide range of childrenswear collections for both boys and girls, covering age groups from infants to tweens. Her design experience spans multiple product categories, including playwear, special occasion, sleepwear, swimwear, and accessories.

Kayla brings a well-rounded skill set to her work, including trend research, hand sketching, CAD design in Adobe Illustrator, sewing, pattern making, creating tech packs, and developing packaging and merchandising collections.
